All SIR members and guests are welcome and, indeed, encouraged to participate in fishing trips as well as attend the monthly meetings. Next meeting will be Thursday, April 26th at the Legend Sports Bar and Grill at the Diablo Creek Golf Course at 4050 Port Chicago Highway in Concord. Meeting starts at 8:30am.
Well the big news and only news was from San Pablo Reservoir. Carl Moyer did the big news with a monster 11 pound rainbow. Seniors can rent boats there at half off, and taking advantage of this bargain were: Tom Boltz, Jack Waddell, Barry Rauchle, Karl Droese, Carl Moyer, George Shulze, Jerry Flahiff, Mike Corker, Gordon Linebaugh, and Joe Miscione. Almost everybody caught fish, and no one went home empty handed. When the rain stops we shall return. Don Mittelstaedt caught some steelhead fly fishing in the Trinity River. Our only sturgeon trip was not productive, and the names have been withheld to protect the unfortunate.
We will be very busy this winter with: delta fishing for bass, catfish, and sturgeon, trout in local lakes, party boat trips for kokanee, sturgeon, crab and rock fish.

Pete Gates and Barry Rauchle caught this nice string of rainbows at San Pablo Reservoir (5/12 report)
Big smiles after the first salmon trip of the year!
Nice picture of Joe at sunset? Great fish too!
A sunny January day found this group of SIRs trout fishing and enjoying a hot chili shore lunch. Joe Peterson, Harry Sherinian (great host,) Paul Dubow, Paul King, Robby Robertson, Dick Thomson, Craig Walden, Gordon Linebaugh, and Barry Rauchle even caught a few fish.
Harry Sherinian took big fish honors with this splendid 4 lb rainbow trout.
